What paper mode is

Paper trading is a full simulation. The engine reads the same live prices it would trade on, runs the same decision process, and records what it would have done, all without sending real orders to your exchange. Nothing trades real money in paper mode. It is the safest possible way to get familiar with how QuantumMind reads the market and manages a basket.

What runs in paper, exactly as in live

• The nine-agent council. All nine specialists vote each cycle, and you watch the votes form on your dashboard.
• Your safety rails. The capital floor, daily-loss breaker, resume threshold, position-size cap, and regime seatbelt are all active, so you can see the protections work.
• Your chosen strategy. Any allocation method available on your plan runs against the simulated wallet.
• Live market data. Paper runs on real-time prices from Coinbase, crypto.com, or Interactive Brokers, so the behavior is realistic.
• A separate paper wallet per exchange. Each exchange keeps its own simulated balance, fully isolated from any live feed.

What is simulated, and what is not

The market data is real; the money is not. Orders are recorded against a simulated balance rather than sent to the exchange, and fills are modeled. Simulated results are illustrative only. They show how the engine behaves, but they do not represent real trading and do not predict real outcomes. This is a learning and observation tool, not a forecast.

Going from paper to live is a deliberate step

When you are ready, going live is something you choose, not a default. You connect a trade-only key that stays on your machine, pick the live feed, and confirm. Until you do, paper and live stay completely independent, and your keys and funds remain in your own custody the whole time.
